Micah 2: 12, 13 - "I will surely gather all of you, O Jacob; I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel. I will bring them together like sheep in a pen, like a flock in its pasture; the place will throng with people. One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. The king will pass through before them, the Lord at their head."

This is a prophetic promise that we can lay hold to for the Year 2010:

1. We will see ALIGNMENT!

We will see a coming together of His Church. He would “surely gather” and “surely bring together” His people. We will surely see God’s people aligned first to God and then aligned with one another. We will see the Church gathered as one army sharing one common purpose of loving God passionately and loving people practically. We will see His people gathered “like sheep in a pen” and “like a flock in its pasture”. This is a prophetic picture of the unity of the Church not just as one local congregation “in a pen” but also as one Church in the City “like a flock”!

2. We will see GROWTH!

vs 12 - “the place will throng with people…”

We will see souls saved, baptized and added to the Church. We will work together to reap an unprecedented harvest for the glory of God! We will not only win them but we will intentionally disciple them and see true Christ-followers rising all over this House.

3. We will see fresh BREAKTHROUGHS!

Jesus, the Anointed One will “break open the way” and go up before us. He will “pass through before us” as the King who is at the head of His army. And we will “break through the gate and go out”. We will see fresh breakthroughs in our family, our finances, our health, our work, our spiritual life! We will experience the Breaker’s anointing that break through every barrier that the devil may send to hinder our walk with God. We will see signs; wonders and miracles go beyond the 4-walls of the Church and penetrating the gates of society. And the city will know that there is a Living God!

4. We will see KINGDOM ADVANCEMENT!

God’s people will be “going out” and breaking forth to bless our community, our city and the nations beyond. We will see cell-groups of people going forth with new initiatives to bless our city and the nations beyond. We will see local churches adopting unreached people groups and initiating Kingdom projects that will bring about the advancement of the Kingdom in the nations of the earth. We will see our sowing into East Timor, Cambodia, Philippines and China etc resulting in a time of harvesting!
